Abundant Living Ministries is a Christ-centered teaching ministry devoted to helping individuals grow in their faith, deepen their understanding of God’s Word, and walk confidently in their God-given purpose.

Founded by Dr. Imebet Thompson, this ministry was birthed out of a passion to see lives transformed through the simplicity of the Gospel. It is a place where truth is taught, hearts are encouraged, and believers are equipped to live a life that reflects the fullness of Christ.

We believe that abundant living is not found in possessions, but in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Through Bible study, teaching, and encouragement, we help individuals move beyond surface-level faith into a deeper, more meaningful walk with God.

Meet Dr. Imebet Thompson

Founder ~ Teacher ~ Servant Leader

Dr. Imebet Thompson is a devoted servant of God, teacher of the Word, and passionate encourager, committed to helping others grow in Christ and live a life of purpose and abundance.

Her journey in Christ began in the year 2003 at the age of 19 at Jamaica Evangelistic Center, where she gave her life fully to the Lord. Raised in a strong spiritual foundation by her mother and grandmother, both women of faith, Dr. Thompson was nurtured in an environment where prayer, worship, and the Word of God were a central part of everyday life.

From a young age, she demonstrated a heart for ministry, actively serving in youth groups, encouraging her peers, and leading many to Christ through prayer, the Word, and the gifts of the Spirit, including prophecy, healing and words of knowledge. Her early years in ministry laid a strong foundation for a lifelong calling to teach, uplift, and disciple others.

After migrating, Dr. Thompson continued faithfully in ministry, serving in various capacities including as a missionary, worship leader, intercessor and as a pastor’s wife. She has now been serving in ministry for over a decade, walking alongside others in faith, leadership, and spiritual growth since 2012.

Dr. Thompson is the founder of Abundant Living Ministries, where she teaches the Word of God with clarity and simplicity. She also facilitates a growing prayer circle, partnering with other women in ministry to build authentic, faith-filled community through prayer, teaching, and encouragement. She is often invited to teach on various platforms, where her message continues to impact lives and inspire deeper spiritual growth.

In addition to her ministry work, Dr. Thompson is a dedicated wife of nearly 17 years and a loving mother of four children, balancing family life with her calling and purpose.

She is also academically equipped, having earned a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Humanities and a Master’s degree in Christian Leadership from the School of the Great Commission Bible College and Seminary, graduating in 2022. She has since continued her theological journey and holds a Doctorate in Theology.

Beyond ministry, Dr. Thompson is a certified herbalist, a successful entrepreneur and creative visionary. She is a professional celebrity natural hair stylist and braider, and the owner of Beth Defines Beauty Salon, along with her own line of natural hair care products. Her excellence in business reflects her commitment to stewardship, creativity, and empowering others both spiritually and practically.

Dr. Thompson’s life and ministry reflect a deep passion for God, a heart for people, and a commitment to seeing lives transformed through the power of the Gospel.

Her mission is simple: to teach the Word, build faith, and help others walk fully in the abundant life found in Christ.
